Dr. Julia Gibson
DVM
Dr. Julia Gibson Beaver provides most of our large animal services. She grew up in Catlett, VA with her parents, Don Gibson and Lisa Gibson, DVM. From a young age, she enjoyed going on dairy farm tours in and around Catlett. She took horseback riding lessons in Nokesville as a child and has always had an interest in becoming a veterinarian.
She attended Virginia Tech for her undergraduate degree and majored in Agriculture and Applied Economics. She continued her academic career at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, she worked at a busy mixed animal practice in West Virginia before joining our practices in May of 2015. She enjoys working on all species including dogs, cats, sheep, goats, cows, horses, and the occasional chicken. She has a specific interest in bovine reproduction, herd health, and equine lameness. Her non-veterinary interests include cheering for the Hokies, hiking, reading, traveling, and working out.
Dr. Virginia Stilwell

Then, she worked for a year at the Marion DuPont Scott Equine Hospital in Leesburg as a night shift nurse. She spent the next four years at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine and earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. (War Eagle!)
Dr. Stilwell’s large animal interests include equine, small ruminants (goats, sheep, llamas, and alpacas), and bovine heard health/obstetrics.
